Recorded in 1999, "200 Birds" is the exotic, sometimes ominous soundscape created by Chris Becker to accompany New Orleans artist Jacqueline Bishop's mixed-media installation work "Terra." An aural montage of Brazilian and African rhythms, experimental guitar textures, and haunting synthesizer colors, "200 Birds" mirrors the installation's sensuous beauty and serious subtext concerning environmental devestation.
